Conclusions

Quality Assessment: Acceptable. Wine is not very well balanced, the acidity is low, and the green astringent tannins are overwhelming and cover the flavours.

Bottle Ageing: Not Suitable for bottle ageing. There is not a lot of acidity to hold ageing, tannins are present, but not as much as their astringency. There is some flavours that are present from ageing, but they will not hold with time, so I don’t expect them to develop in complex and aged tertiary notes.

Final Remarks

This is an easy Tuscan wine, great for pizza and some pasta dishes, but it really shows that its made from very young vines visible in the green tannins. But if you open, pour in garafa and let it stay for next day it will be much smoother and satisfying.
